key

Race chair vs handcycle
Race chair is a competitive division with prize money, scored against the running field. Handcycle is an open division on a geared machine. The distinction is not cosmetic and the community treats it as a hard line. Every standalone running race here — every half, every 5K and 10K — was raced in the chair. The LA Marathon is the one full that gets ridden: race chair in 2018, handcycle every year from 2022 on. Every other marathon is a push.
Official time vs Garmin time
The rule: official times only, never Garmin watch or training-device times. Where an official time exists it is the one shown, always. Garmin appears in the Total column only where no official time was recorded — DNFs, relay legs, and the 2019 Oceanside bike. Watch times run a few seconds long against chip time because the watch starts before the mat: Boston 2026 reads 2:08:38 on Garmin against 2:08:39 official, Chicago 2025 reads 2:13:21 against 2:13:12. Where a Garmin file is short of the course — LA Marathon 2018, LA Marathon 2023 — the watch was started late; the official time is unaffected.
Column order
Follows the Triathlon Resume sheet: total first, then swim, T1, bike, T2, run left to right. Blank cells mean the discipline was not part of that event, or the split was never recorded. Relay rows name the leg raced; the time shown is that leg only, never a team finish.

sources

  1. Athlinks — Official timing. Wins every conflict. Records finishes only.
  2. Race organizer results — Official chip timing published by the event itself, for races Athlinks never picked up. Camarillo 2026 and New York 2026.
  3. Garmin Connect race flag — The authoritative list of what was entered as a race. Recovers events held in no other source.
  4. intervals.icu — Name-matched recovery across 43 race days. Fills relay legs and splits. Derived from Garmin, not independent of it.
  5. Triathlon Resume sheet — Earliest record. Splits, transitions and DNF detail through 2022.

Race Chair competitive division, scored against the running field  ·  Handcycle open division, geared machine  ·  Triathlon  ·  Duathlon  ·  Swim open water

v5.1 · 3 November 2026 · 66 entries · 55 post-injury starts

Official times only. Every time here is the official chip time from the race's own timing (Athlinks or the event's published results), not a Garmin watch or training-device time. A watch time appears only where no official time exists, and its row is tagged G (Garmin) or I (intervals.icu).

Newest first. Total time first, then splits left to right, following the Triathlon Resume sheet.
